This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because this is an important development that has an important bearing on the sharing of knowledge and code, and can destabilize the existing countercultural artefacts including Wikipedia itself. This movement should be studied and the motivations understood so that the underlying issues can be addressed.
