A negative database, in the domain of credit cards, refers to a database, usually maintained by credit card companies, of credit card owners who chargeback regularly.

The term negative database also refers to a security concept in database terms where contrary to traditional databases, such database saves attributes that cannot be associated with a certain entry.[1][2]
