Users Society of Java Technology (SouJava) - Brazilian Java User Group

History

The Brazilian SouJava Java User Group, was founded in 1997 by Bruno Souza (JavaMan), Yara Senger, Mauricio (Maltron) Leal, Fabio Velloso, Vinicius Senger. The group was created to promote Java and many OpenSource initiatives around world and specially in Brazil. SouJava User Group is NGO, and one of the biggest Java User Groups of the world, an recent estimative claims that the group can have more than 42.000 members around world.

SouJava is, together with London Java User Group, the creator of the Adopt A JSR Program. SouJava is also the First Java User Group to become a Java Community Process Expert Group Member and it is quite known by the engagement of its members.

SouJava Sao Paulo

SouJava Sao Paulo is the biggest SouJava group in Brazil and is located in Sao Paulo - Sao Paulo - Brazil.

SouJava Campinas

SouJava Sao Paulo is the second biggest SouJava group in Brazil and is located in Campinas - Sao Paulo - Brazil.

SouJava Rio

SouJava Sao Paulo is the third biggest SouJava group in Brazil and is located in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.
