Discontinuation

Microsoft has said they are discontinuing Expression Encoder in 2013. Does anyone know what they are replacing it with? Epimetheon (talk) 16:26, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi.
Actually, www.microsoft.com/expression says they are "consolidating", so that means at this moment there is no plan to replace it with anything else. It is being discontinued for good. If I may say so, no one is missing that piece of product. There are a lot of alternatives, both commercial and free.
Best regards,
