Please do not delete this page - it has been significantly changed since flagged, to add external references to cite his work. Colin was a significant player in the early days of LDAP. I accept the comment about autobiography, and am in the process of contacting people that know my work and will be willing to contribute to the article to make it biographical. My notable work was in the 1990s on distributed directories, and so finding external verifiable references will take a bit of hunting down - please bear with me.
