Rob De Luca is an American bassist, best known for playing in UFO, the Sebastian Bach band, and as a founding member of Spread Eagle.
Early years
Rob De Luca started playing guitar at the age of 15.[1] He first played bass in a band called Bang.[2] When the members of Bang met vocalist Ray West Spread Eagle was born.
Spread Eagle
Spread Eagle formed in 1989 [2] and after just a few months of rehearsals they signed a record deal with MCA/Universal Records. They released two albums: their debut Spread Eagle in 1990 and Open to the Public in 1993. The honesty of Spread Eagle's debut release quickly gained the band worldwide critical acclaim and propelled them to the forefront of the genre. That debut album was recently voted as one of the top 20 glam albums of all time (along with Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Hanoi Rocks and Skid Row):[3] Although most people thought of the band as Streetmetal, not Glam, they appreciate any mention of influence. Although quite popular amongst their fans, they never had major commercial success and disbanded around 1995.
In 2006 they reunited for a tour and a remastered version of their acclaimed debut album was released on Lovember Records.[4] They are currently reunited and touring the Northeast of America.[4][5]
OF EARTH
OF EARTH is a four piece psychedelic/progressive band from NYC fronted by Rob De Luca on vocals and bass. Their self titled debut album mastered by Howie Weinberg was released for free download on February 14th 2010. Cite error: The <ref>

Studio Work and Touring
Rob has recorded for Grammy winning "Producer Of The Year" Steve Lillywhite[7] and for Grammy winning "Album Of The Year" engineer Tom Camuso.[citation needed] Rob has also toured and/or recorded with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, George Lynch (Dokken/Lynch Mob), Mike Chlasciak (Halford). He joined the Sebastian Bach band in 2005.[8][9] They toured as direct support for Guns N' Roses and as headliner in the US, Europe, U.K., South America, Asia, Australia, Scandinavia, and Canada.[10] In 2012 he left the Bach band to play bass in the legendary British band UFO.
Another guest appearance worth mentioning is Helmet in 2006 supporting Guns N' Roses, when Helmet's previous bassist was refused entry at the Canadian border.[11] Rob had 4 hours to learn a 10 song set before going onstage in Winnipeg. Next day in Calgary he already knew the full 12 song set. Rob did the whole leg of the 2006 GN'R Canadian tour playing bass in both support acts.
