Rulkov map is a two dimensional iterated map which is used to model biological neuron. It was proposed by Nikolai F. Rulkov in 2001.[1] Use of map to study neural networks has big computational advantage because map is easy to iterate than continuous dynamical system which saves a lot of memory and makes the computation of large neural networks easy.
