Speculum al foderi

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Janludwig (talk | contribs) at 19:45, 1 November 2012 (Just thought I'd add another similar text to illustrate that it was 'not the only known treatise' on sexual positions in Middle Ages. Some tweaking may still be needed!). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Speculum al foderi (sometimes known as "The Mirror of Coitus" or literally "a mirror for fuckers") is a 15th century Catalan text discovered in the 1970s.[1][2] This text is significant as it is a rare example of known Medieval treatise describing the art of sexual positions (others examples include Aretino's I Modi ("The Ways"), also known as "The Sixteen Pleasures"[3]
