Technical Report Archive & Image Library (TRAIL) is a project of the University of Arizona and the Center for Research Libraries (CRL) to digitize, preserve, and make available to the public technical reports published before 1976 by agencies of the United States government.[1][2]
As of March 2012, the collection includes more than 28,000 reports.[3] Currently available report series include [United States Atomic Energy Commission], Civil Effects Test Operations (AEC-CEX); [United States Atomic Energy Commission], Lovelace Foundation for Medical Education and Research (AEC-LF); [United States Atomic Energy Commission], Health and Safety Laboratory (AEC-HASL); [United States Atomic Energy Commission], Radiation Instruments Branch (AEC-RIB); U.S. National Bureau of Standards, Monographs; and U.S. Bureau of Mines Bulletin. [4]
History of the Project
The University of Arizona received funding in 2006 from the Greater Western Library Alliance (GWLA) to start the project in collaboration with CRL.[5]
