Other comments ?as a disabled person on a limited budget i would have liked to see what i have given so far.I was planning to try to increase my donation every month somehow even though I am in desperate need of an electric wheelchair Wiki has become a friend to me and I am wanting to help you since you need me..i can always use my broken old manual chair until i save enough up...and i am only giving you some of what I am saving each month..i will try to give more by somehow cutting corners...maybe one less meal a day.i get 5$/day for food...if i save up I can try to give you more..I don't want you to close..I will do anything I can..just please link my email addresses..i use the same one here for my account as I do the account i donated from...i need the info to show my progress with you...i'll do all i can!

I am trying to find out how to contribute a page. This tells me how to edit a page. Is making an initial contribution intended to be a secret? One line of instruction is all that I need. Can't find it.

This page is very helpful. Before I attempt to write about individuals I also perform some sort of research and Wikipedia is the first place I look.

Ms. Williams Wikipedia page was created long before her search for employment. Her page has been up since 2008. She is well known in the community and well respected. While she continues her civic duties she is also completing her masters at Georgetown University. Ms. Williams has gained a great number of alies in her profession and I'm positive that her page was created to give people a larger scope of her accomplishments and skill set in the market place. I'm surprised to see that one wouldn't appreciate being directed to a more established and reliable source when learning about such a professional individual.

Can you tell me please if i could add an entry which relates to an form of therapy i have invented. I am an NLP Practitioner and I have my own therapy technique which is unique to me and I am hoping it will become popular. I am aware I cannot promote myself or my business but I would like to enter the therapy name so if people were to search or come across it then they could read what its about. I would only like to enter my name as being the inventor of the therapy and a brief explanation as to what it is. I would not enter any links etc to websites. I suppose it would be like if someone entered the search “internet” the guy who invented it would be included in the info? Any help or advice would be great. Many thanks TunnyG

I have photos I'd like to ad to the "Joe West (umpire file) ...the picture of Joe Morgan batting with Jody Davis catching has another umpire in the picture.. that's not Joe West. I also have pictures of the West Vest umpire's chest protector that he designed. I'm not able to change the pictures please advise. I also have a picture that is evident that the balks he called on Mark Buehrle were correct and I can't put them on the page ... it would vendicate West of the criticisms of Buehrle, Guillen, and the smart mouth Curt Schilling.

  • I got a message reminding me to sign my comments on "talk" pages. Thanks, but what would have been additionally useful would be an explanation of why you want me to do that - such an explanation would have made it more complete.

If you want my messages signed, I don't mind having all my messages signed when I am logged in. But, don't expect me to remember all the fine details of how your system operates. Its a system. If you want things signed, then I respectfully suggest that you either build it into your system or - if you want to give people the ability to "talk" without signing - provide it as an optional part of your system that all messages submitted when a user is logged in be automatically signed in the format and with the information you want.

I suppose that Mr. Ted Turner, whom I believe owns the rights to the major motion picture, can verify this interesting and important, but esoteric fact that I would presume is worthy of wikipedia.org to investigate and post on Grant Wood's page.

  • In the "Total edit count" section, the first wikilink, labeled "user profile", points to Help:Preferences#User_profile, which doesn't exist... It doesn't exist as page section, I mean: clicking on the link just lands one at Help:Preferences which, despite the claim made in the "Total edit count" section of Help:User_contributions doesn't actually provide access to one's total edit count at all. I suppose the target page must have changed under the link on this one? I'd fix it, but I'm not sure what the actual target should be. Thanks!  – OhioStandard (talk) 04:01, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Can a user be prevented from editing his/her work-in-progress contribution? Apparently I was, bit I don't

understand why. The only notice received was "such and such page was removed from your watch list." I can view my latest edit, but no more edits are allowed apparently, or are they?

  • Very, I appreciate the time and effort spent in making all these instructional, tutorial pages. Makes trying to participate and learn not so scary.

  • For the most part, though I think what I didn't understand is due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to computers and codes, whatever it's called.

  • As a beginner yes, because I know I can get more detail if I wanted to, but as a starting point it was good enough for me to have stayed on and read the whole thing. Too much info/details can be dizzying for amateurs like myself.
How can we make it better ?
  • Let us practice, practice, practice, and don't get mad if we fudge up. BTW, I really like the fact that Wikipedia has such tolerable standards for dealing with newbies, and sensible, positive approaches to other areas of possible conflict. Well-thought out.

agbor

<! the history you wrote about agbor and ika people is very wrong and it was influenced by igbo people , i am an ika man ,so let me educate you and you can also visit ika land or elders and monarchs or british archives to check correct ika and agbor history. agbor is the present spelling and not agbo ,but the correct name for the town is ogungunagbon or agbon for short,it means earth or world or lineage in bini language ,but this was changed to agbor by the british authority in 1906 ,due to pronounciation problems.even up till today that is what it means in ika/agbor language. 

 2. agbor is of the ika tribe , and there was no time in history that agbor belonged to the igbo race , ika kingdoms including agbor was founded by bini people in the ancient times ,and eventually after that many other people migrated into the kingdom, some from esan,ukwani, aniocha,and igbo areas , this interraction between the edo-bini people is what gave birth to the new tribe called ika.

3. the first word for king in agbor language was ogiso ,then ogelle and after the dein /obi dynasty of kings , so agbor has gone through three dynasty of kingship, that is why it is one of the most ancient kingdoms in nigeria. 4. agbor culture of deinship or obiship is same as in benin with three kinds of chiefs called ohaime -the palace ,town and hereditory chiefs with benin titles like obasogie, ologboshere, esama, iyase, orokonogbe and others .the kingship is from father to son as in benin. 5. agbor and ika culture still draws hevily from benin as the dein of agbor performs the igue,ibiewere festival and ikaba, ugbose and other edo related festival ,just like the oba. 6. the traditional worship of agbor/ika people still consist of God as oselobue, ehi, ovia, olokun, idigun and others from benin .,and dances such as uje and others 7. names of villages and towns in agbor kingdom is still same as in bini like idumuoza, isogban, idumuozomor, uvere, evbo, and others . 8. most agbor peoples names are still bini names especially their surnames such as osagie ,osagiede, orhogbuwa, osehe, osaigbovou, ogbemudia and others . 9. the names of past obis of agbor were all bini names untill recently when the obis started bearing igbo names like ikenchuku, ezeka and others ,even the present dein of agbor called kiagborekuzi ikenchuku is from the family called igbenoba-which is a bini word meaning i seek refuge in the king. 10.when the igbos or igbo speaking peoples migrated into agbor the also brought their deity like ikenga and the worship of ifejioku into agbor and also they brought their language too,so eventually this language was mixed with bini and it became ika- a mix of igbo and edo languages,this language is neither standard igbo or standard edo language,which some people like to call ika-igbo 11. the present dein of agbor is of same blood lineage with the oba of benin,and agbor /ika people crown their obi in the uselu which means sacred ground.the type of kingship practiced by agbor people is very different from that practiced by igbos at any time in their history. 12. our language is called ika as it contains both bini and igbo words such as -

igbo words 1. eka-hand 2. onu- mouth 3. eken -day of the week 4. eyan- eyes 5. bushi- lift up 6. era- mad 7. ishi-head 8. nti- ears and others. 

  how is edo and igbo tied together ?

1. okpoho ni ara saka donme egho- this woman cannot keep money 2. okenyen ni dodo wehe ni m ayiya nen i this man please give me that comb 3. irabor wu ohaimen , ya wu ni owu ihian ,hun wen inyemen oda - 

  irabor is a chief and a human being who has many wives.

4. a gua le idumu enyin ni kikeni ke m non ikeke

  agbor like others ika people are of the ika ethnic group and the highest socio-cultural group in ika is onu/ogua ika while that of igbo nation is ohaneze ndigbo.
  i know there have been controversy especially as most igbo view ika as igbo ,but our brothers and neighbours the bini call us eka , they do not call us igbo as they know the difference between igbo and eka.
 1930, when bini claimed they own ika land our ancestors told the british that ika is not part of any known ethnic group in nigeria ,so that attempt failed , also during the civil war the igbos claimed ika was part of biafra and ika people resisted and it also failed,so having said this who are agbor people ?
  agbor people are members of ika ethnic group or nation ,but we know we have brotherly relationship with bini and igbo people but we are neither bini nor igbo,but we are simply ika.
  i am an owa man of ika ethnic group, we and agbor people share same space as our towns are stone throw to each other and we speak same language,
 finally i will like to point out that agbor kingdom has two languages called ozara-which is an edoid language and ika -which is a mix of bini and igbo languages
