Who, if anyone, has actually deployed this technology?

This article says China has had it since 2002. This is another source of information, though not encyclopedic. Orthografer 17:04, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is also used in India http://www.cdg.org/news/press/2006/Dec07_06.asp. I've read that it was at least tested in Eastern Europe, Indonesia, Thailand, and a few other asian countries. I don't have time right now to find other sources.Cmgross 14:23, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification Needed

When this article asserts that the R-UIM can be used in CDMA as well as GSM phones, it is unclear whether only the card's form factor and/or data format is a fit, or if the card's data itself can be used functionally across CDMA / GSM systems. This would seem to be an unanswered question of basic interest to a reader of this article. --APDEF (talk) 12:05, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
