Stuxnet

We probably want an article about Stuxnet. The Stuxnet Sting - Microsoft Malware Protection Center - Site Home - TechNet Blogs My writing is no good, so consider this ref my contribution. ;) --DanielPharos (talk) 22:18, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Second the motion. 2 variants and it runs from USB stick even with autorun disabled; preliminary reports are that this is true Cyber-terrorism and the target may be military/government. Detected by Sophos, MS, CA, f-Secure, Symantec, Avira, McAfee, kaspersky, Trend Micro, Panda, Norman, Dr. Web, Ikarus, BitDefender, avast!, AVG, ESET, PCTools, GData, AhnLab, Fortinet; reported by Forbes, krebs, CNet, TechRepublic, and others. Most detect as "worm", "trojan", or "rootkit", a few detect as random "virus"/"malware". No MS Patch as yet, but there is a MS workaround. See these:

I started an article: Stuxnet --Wikieditoroftoday (talk) 01:20, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Basic terminology

I realise that wikipedia is lacking articles on basic (but fundamental, at least according to my point of view) topics, such as attack (I added a specialized article attack (computer)), countermeasure (I added a specialized article countermeasure (computer)), Threat (I added a specialized article Threat (computer)).
Writing the last article I found that most basic terminology cited in authoritative sources as National Information Assurance Glossary, or RFC 2828 is not covered (at no level or in same cases at very start class level) in wikipedia articles. Some example you can find reading Threat (computer) and looking for html comments. I will try to write some myself but I am more than happy if someone can contribute, writing or assessing the articles.
