This is funny. All over the site, I see "Wikipedia is the encyclopedia you can [edit] You can make a difference!" and "we need you". That is, you NEED left wing, liberal Saul-Alinsky type propaganda bots to lock down stories from those who would spread the truth. All it takes is 3 like-minded socialists and any dissenting facts are eliminated, the user banned with "straw man" or "sock puppet" excuses that are parroted by the sheeple who would dream to be admins. 64.53.136.28 (talk) 04:12, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Not only articles, but also policies and practices, are open to change. It's important in seeking change to present your viewpoints clearly and civilly, to avoid others losing sight of your argument and focusing instead on your demeanor. Assuming you are not blocked, see Wikipedia:Dispute resolution for some suggested avenues for dealing with other editors and Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines for where and how to suggested changes to policies. If you are blocked, see Wikipedia:Appealing a block. --Maggie Dennis (WMF) (talk) 14:03, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Update the images used
The images for the three buttons are of seriously poor quality. The Wikipedia logo depicted is the old one and the pictures look horribly pixelated. I'm also pretty sure that one of the fonts there is closed-source, hence not appropriate for usage here.
We must not give new users a bad impression. Polish the introduction as much as possible and increase uptake in editing.--Yannis A. ✆|☑ 01:22, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
- Good suggestions :). I'll poke the author and see if she has spare time (the answer is probably "no", in which case I'll call in some favours with our UI designers). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 11:51, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
