Meenakshi Vandana Sharma Born in delhi, india n brought up in kathmandu, nepal - Meenakshi Vandana Sharma is an actress in mumbai in glamour field and she has captured the hearts of her audiences by her spectacular performances in indian tv series.

Meenakshi vandana Sharma known as vandana Sharma as well is born by a Nepalese mother and an Indian father. Her childhood and basic education was in Nepal. She became 1st runner up in miss world Nepal 1997 and earned loads of praise from her fans.

In the present time Meenakshi Vandana Sharma lives in Mumbai. She always scored well in her career and made her mark in the entertainment industry.

she wanted to b a media person, a journalist but then life had something else in store for her. she became a beauty pageant winner and later flooded with offers from nepali films, tele-vision and fashion industry. without realization she was walking on ramp show like libas and many more. she started hosting 2 programmes in nepal tele-vision called sargam and gitanjali. it was written and presented by her. later she decided to come to india for a biger platform and Chasing her dreams today she reached to the present glorious status. She also considers that it is the family support and the blessings of the fans that made her improve every day. She also considers that her biggest quality is her compassion.. Her personal tastes are also unique. His favorite color is white and she prefers thai food over chinese and italian over indian.. in her favorite movies comes a cult cinema like benhur and life is beautiful.. beautiful mind and in recent time its black swan.. she says that she could relat to this film as an actor and the insecuries attached to it. there are many more movies in different languages which she adores.. she believes that emotions are same all over the world. Among the actors her favorites are robert di neiro.. marlyn brando..al pacino and many more.. she loves demi moore and julia roberts.. recently she developed a likin towards natalie portman..she loved her in black swan. very less people know that meenakshi paints and writes as well. she is planning a painting exibition soon and recently writting a book.. she has written amazing poetries and trying to publish it now.. she likes indian poet gulzar.. she reads paulo cohelo and a great fan of his. she says the only autograph she wants is from him. her wriiting is completely inspired by him. she says in every book of the writer , she has found herself. she dsnt belive in occult science but the topic does interests her a lot. its one of her passon to know about beyond the science..Her perfection in work makes her happy and competition makes her feel healthy.. yes, she says that if there is no compitition, one stops growing.. she hardly watches television series herself but she does like national geographic channel and history channel and few reality shows on different channels. she says working in series itself makes it boring to watch herself. its only for audience to enjoy .. its like a doctor cant see himself getting operated.

before coming to the glamour line meenakshi worked in travel business and joined an airlines also..somehow instead of getting paid well, she couldnt find it attractive enough to bind her. later she workes in an ISP as marketting manager and later she even worked in prime minister's office when mr. sher bahadur deuba was the prime-minister in adviser's office as front desk manager. Later she realized that this isn’t what she wanted to do in her life. She dint find her satisfaction in modeling as well. After being in so much of lime-light as a winner of beauty pagent , she choose writing. probably, her background which included a jounalist father and a proffessor  mother was pulling her into it. She started writing in one of the leading publishing house in nepal- kantipur publications in a magazine called sarvottam on bold subjects like legalization of prostitution, child- sexual abuse, sex-education in school, surogate mothers and many more when these stuffs were tabu in nepelese society. but, she was still searching for more and then she realized that she needs a bigger platform.

in 2000 she landed in mumbai- a city of dreams. she knew that she has to start here from scratch but she was ready for it. to start it fresh and new. She had no god-father and she barely knew people here.. but, Dr. Chandra prakash dwedi and his wife mandira kasyap were the ones who guided her thru. Her acting career took off when she started her carrier again with a story called kohima in a series called `Ajib Dastan” for star plus- directed by mandira kashyap and co-staring avinash kumar,who was doing a famous series called amanat at that time. after her 1st ever acting debut she realized that, this is what she wanted to do.

With her striking looks she attracted various television serials. few series like shakiman, junior zee and remix were popular among kids and teen-agers .. others long running series were ,sparsh -ek ehsaas, aanewala pal, koi sapno ke deep jalaye, aakrosh, kareena-kareena, kamini-damini, chainpur ki dastaan, zindginama, bandhan, ghar ek mandir, kashti,kittu sab janti hai, amber dhara and many more. episodic detective series like surag and hello-inspector were very popular then. C.I.D is the series again which is based on crime stories and she played different characters for different stories. this series is still very popular. the other episodic stories included the search, khauf-intzar and few horror shows where she played interesting and different characters. she tried her hand in comedies like sarva mangal savdhan, daddy samjha karo and few others..and she believes that its the most difficult of all.

later she did a play for EPTA - named EK CHADAR MAILI SI which was show-cased in prithvi theatre. it was a new experience for her. Later followed by signing up few short films like kwab apne apne - a story of a kasmiri gal where was playing the protoganist and one for dheeraj kumar production house which followed by few films as well.

A few films like metro where she is seen in one scene was just as an friendly gesture for a friend Abhishek, whose brother Anurag was the director of the film starring some big names like shilpa shetty , shiney ahuja and many more and few flms like wajah with gracy singh , arbaaz khan, shamita shetty, sudesh berry n many more where she couldnt deny the director she worked in many series- Mr. Gautama adhikari. She did rooh as main protonist with sudesh berry but it cudnt do much for her. Again few films like crime-partner with rahul roy dint see the light of the day. few other she signed but is still pending. one of them is sudhakar bokade's (sajan fame) film.

The acting skills of Meenakshi have been proved time and again in the wide assortment of roles that she has enacted in the different serials and short Films. She has also performed Item song in sarhad Paar directed by raman kumar starring big names like sanjay dutt ,tabu, mahima chaudhary, rahul dev and others. she did one song number for the film sirdi ke saibaba, Directed by deepk balraj viz.

meenakshi vandana sharma is still waiting for her dream role as an actor .  and, she says that it will happen soon by the grace of GOD ....
