You are welcome to start a Task Force in your town, city, or community based on one of the following project-based approaches, or another approach you develop. The Artist Research Project This is a project develop in collaboration with the International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art-North America (INCCA-NA). The project is designed to produce the most up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge about the representation and conservation of a body of artwork by a single artist or artist collective. For the Artist Research Project, see WP:WikiProject Public art/TheArtistResearchProject. The first artist selected in this project is Tony Smith. Using the list of Tony Smith outdoor sculptures as a starting point, an effort is underway to document all of the outdoor Tony Smith sculptures in the world before his 100th birthday, September 23. The Public art community project For artworks in the United States you can use the SOS! Database to find public artworks in your city that already have at least one reliable reference.
