This Request for Comment covers a proposal to incorporate VIAF authority control identifiers, using the {{Authority control}} template, on a large number of English Wikipedia articles.

The proposal was originally written up here, and discussed on the Village Pump here. It has since been updated to include some of the feedback and commentary received during the discussions.
