Transcoder is a Belgian alternative rock band, consisting of five members: Jan Van Acker (vocals), Francis Isebaert (guitar), Steve Lehnen (guitar), Miguel wish (bass) and Martin Baert (drums).

History

The Belgian band Transcoder started in 2008 and is the reincarnation of Fat Finger, a band founded in 2006 by Jan Van Acker, Philip Verbrugge, Martin and Francis Baert Isebaert.Transcoder has been invited by Arid for the Poulains of Studio Brussel. The band played on February 6 in the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. The drummer of Arid, Steven Van Havere, was so impressed that he invited Transcoder as the support act for an Arid concert that took place on February 19 in the AB. In March 2012, Transcoder released the video clip from their song Fading Flame, starring the Belgian tv/radio prensenter and singer Roos Van Acker.

On their official website, the band mentions musical influences such as The Stooges, Sonic Youth, Joy Division and Radiohead

In addition, they also explain to be inspired by genres like blues garage punk, new wave, stoner rock and grunge.
