Dorcus curvidens is a beetle of the family Lucanidae. The species are 15-26 mm long and arew either black or brown coloured. Adult species feed on dead or rotten wood, while larvae enjoys feeding on decaying stumps and logs. The larvae prefers elm trees, but can also feed on others.[1]
