I've tried to shape up this article a bit, but I do get the impression that there is very little of interest in this article. For a function that is symmetric in its n arguments but has no other known properties, one can say that it, um..., is symmetric. For the rest it seems that all interesting stuff is in other articles, and this one neither provides an interesting (or even comprehensible) summary, common point of view, or anything new.
