Modulus modulus is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Modulidae.[1]

Distribution

This species occurs on both the east and west coast of Florida.

Description

The maximum recorded shell length is 16.5 mm.[2] button-like with a gray or brown streaked, ridge-sculptured body whorl and a low spire.

Habitat

Minimum recorded depth is 0 m.[2] Maximum recorded depth is 105 m.[2]
