SQL CLR (SQL Common Language Runtime) is technology for hosting of managed code in environment of Microsoft SQL Server.

This technology, introduced in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, allow users for example to write stored procedures or user defined types in .NET languages such as C# or VB.NET.
