The purpose being identification of the entity and differentiating it from other's. It is not any copyright infringment to use an entity's own identification logo to describe the same entity. The file belongs to the entity(about which the article is) and the entity would admire that its article on wiki has a logo. we are not using any other persons work. The file itself is such a thing which has to be shown to identify the entity and belongs to the entity itself.
