Plo Koon is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe. He was portrayed by actor Alan Ruscoe and Matt Sloan in each of the films of the Star Wars prequel trilogy and by James Arnold Taylor in the Clone Wars animated series.[1][2]

Character overview

Plo Koon is a Kel Dor male from the planet Dorin who is a Jedi Master and a member of the Jedi High Council, holding the position from before Episode I The Phantom Menace to the fall of the Republic in Episode III Revenge of the Sith. During the Clone Wars, Koon served as a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic.[3][4]

Most of Koon's appearances in the prequel trilogy revolved around scenes with the Jedi council. But in 2008 with the creation of the Cartoon Network animated series, The Clone Wars Koon has become a part of the recurring cast, appearing in 18 episodes as of February 10, 2012, increasing his importance in the Star Wars franchise. Koon has also appeared in several video games including, Jedi Power Battles, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes, and Star Wars: Obi-Wan .[5][6][7]

Death

During Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Plo Koon was shot down over Cato Neimoidia by his clone troopers, killing him in compliance with Order 66. His fighter crashed into a clone assembly area.[8][9]
