Rajeeb Samdani (born in 28 March 1974) is a Bangladeshi industrialist. He is currently the Managing Director of Golden Harvest Group [1][2] and the founder and trustee of Samdani Art Foundation.[3]
Career
He started his career as a commodity broker with the British steel trading company Stemcor.[4] The commodity business[5] grew and more diversified with the passing years.
He is also the Secretary General of Bangladesh Human Rights Foundation and Founder & Trustee of Alvina Samdani Trust & Taher Ahmed Choudhury Charitable Hospital (TACCH).[6] He is also the director of The City Bank Limited, which is one of the first private sector banks in Bangladesh.[7]
Personal life
He is married to Nadia Samdani,[8] a British born Bangladeshi. The Samdanis are organising Bangladesh’s first ever art fair [9]. The collector couple[10] is well known for their local and international art collection [11] [12], as well as their Bengal school and Tagore collection.[13][14]
