TextPad is one of the most popular programming and general-purpose text editors for the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems. It is distributed as shareware.

Like other code editors, TexPad supports an unlimited number of programming languages as well as external tools, such as compilers and linkers.

TextPad's main competitors in the professional-grade shareware editor market include UltraEdit and MultiEdit.

First released in 1992 and still being updated today, this editor is currently in its fourth major version. It is produced by Helios Software Solutions.
