The process of accepting new characters into the harmonized standards Unicode and ISO/IEC 10646 can be rather lengthy. To help implementers and users keeping track with forthcoming additions, the Unicode Pipeline table informs about the proposed codepoints and the current status of new characters.

Before new scrips or character additions enter the Unicode Pipeline, they can be found at the Characters and Scripts Under Investigation or Proposed new scripts. Proposals are public and comments are invited.
