Proposals, October 2011

Please check how many articles qualify for a stub type before proposing it.

If (after approval) you create a stub type, please be sure to add it to the list of stub types. This page will be archived in its entirety once all discussions have been closed; there is no need to move them to another page.

Category:European bridge (structure) stubs

Given that we have a category Category:Asian bridge (structure) stubs, we should probvably also have for any other continent, subject to there being enough stubs. And in the case of Europe, we already do - we have 35 {{Europe-bridge-struct-stub}}s and 56 {{Portugal-bridge-struct-stub}}s, as well as 2 well-populated subcategories. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:05, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

I just checked out {{bridge-struct-stub}} and found 193 that could be tagged with {{Europe-bridge-struct-stub}} so that will definitely be viable, probably with some more country level templates but I haven't checked which ones will be good. Support templates for all other continents and categories iff 60. SeveroTC 16:02, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
Only {{Russia-bridge-struct-stub}} and {{Sweden-bridge-struct-stub}} look viable at the moment, both in the low 40s. SeveroTC 15:58, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Dominican Poets

I just think this one needed a category of it's own, Leopoldo Minaya being a good example as it's a poet stub and a dominican stub. Might as well just be both

Big Oppose to the template name, no reason to drop the t from poet and dom could be anything, and going on the perm cats it would be Dominica poet stubs, but as we don't even have a Category:Dominica people stubs I don't think this is needed at the moment. Actually, I think it's meant to be poets from the Dominican Republic, so it would be under Category:Dominican Republic people stubs. Even so, I don't think it's viable. Category:Turkey geography stubs

I have been given warning by the evil Doctor that a lot of stubs on Turkish villages will soon be created so it would be an idea to create templates based on the provinces of turkey and categories iff they reach 60, so I propose the following;

Category:Massachusetts railway station stubs

Category:European tunnel stubs

A quick count says that we already have 31 transclusions of {{Europe-tunnel-stub}} (a number I expect to go up) and 50 {{Norway-tunnel-stub}}s - a total of 81 stubs for Category:European tunnel stubs. I think we should speedy create this one. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:27, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

How many articles use (or would use) each of these templates? I picked a couple at random and their usage was well below 60, the usual threshold. I support both new templates, and conditionally support any category that would be at least 60 articles big. We already have a number of undersized subcategories in Category:Ukraine geography stubs - 8 of 15 subcategories have less than 50 articles and another 4 are in the 50-59 range. And how many of those are stubs? By all means tag away, but categories should wait until the template is used 60 times, and at the moment, none of them are:

If someone were to go about creating articles for every village (and my reading of administrative divisions of Ukraine is correct, it is slightly confusing), then templates on raion level would be the next step. For now though, there are not enough articles to go down that route. SeveroTC 09:49, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Over 800 articles mainly due to a new Australian push and my own recent work, propose the following
