Visual mapping is a formalized movement in the projectioning of the visual art form of vjing. The term mapping is mostly to be use for the association for visual projection on surfaces and use of spatial and structural visualization, most popularize on side of the buildings.

The live video performance, like [[1]] are done on the surface of spatial structure with video projectors, like the DPI LIGHTNING DLP 3D Projector 30000 Lumens Super Hight Brightness.

Mapping require special software created for visual artist and vj. Some of the softwares are proprietary can buy for vendors, some are created with a visual programming software like max/msp Jitter.
