Language Teaching Research is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the fields of Education and Educational Research and Linguistics. The journal's Editor is Rod Ellis (University of Auckland). It has been in publication since 1997 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.
Scope
Language Teaching Research (LTR) publishes work related to the teaching of any second language, in particular the teaching of specific skills and language for specific purposes. It supports investigation and research within the area of second or foreign language teaching. Language Teaching Research is a quarterly published, peer reviewed, scholarly journal.

Language Teaching Research is abstracted and indexed in, among other databases: SCOPUS, and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2010 impact factor is 1.205, ranking it 44 out of 177 journals in the category ‘Education and Educational Research’.[1] and 33 out of 141 journals in the category ‘Linguistics’.
