"What's the Difference"
Song

What's the Difference is a song by Dr. Dre that is on his album 2001. What's the Difference is track number 7 on the album. It features Eminem and Xzibit. At the time considered the father, the future and the godfather of rap. Every verse is rapped and the chorus is vocalised by an artist from Aftermath Entertainment named Phish.

Conception

Dr. Dre's verse is talking about all his critics and all the people he has known; such as Snoop Dogg, Eazy-E, The D.O.C. and Ice Cube. Eminem's verse is about murdering his ex-wife Kim. Xzibit's verse is similar to Dr. Dre's due to his rapping about all of his critics, his however is about trying to express his strong opinions towards the critics themselves. The whole song is asking the question what's the difference between them and us.

Live

The song was part of the setlist for the Up in Smoke Tour. On some performances on the tour Eminem used the expilict word "nigger",seeing as though Slim never says that due to himself being caucasion. [1]

Charts

Along with alot of songs off 2001, the song charted on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs due to radio play after the album was released. It went to chart at #76 respectfully. [2]
