Contested deletion

There are certain information that can not be placed in the genus page, distribution ranges, conservation status, taxonomic histories and whatnot. While the article Cyclemys that I wrote was more detailed than the species pages, you can not place anything more there than mere summaries of species. The species pages can be expanded and should be expanded, not speedied.

Especially as Cyclemys dentata is the most common species (in pet trade and whatnot) and is the type species of the genus. -- Obsidin Soul 05:32, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... This article is about the species, the name is also used for a genus. The hat tag explains the difference in usage here. --Shyamal (talk) 06:26, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
