"I'm Working on a Building" is a song in the Southern Gospel tradition, written by Lillian Bowles and Winifred O'Hoyle[1]. Also known by variations on the title, such as "Working on the Building", the song has become a standard of the genre. It has been recorded countless times by artists such as Bill Monroe[2], Elvis Presley[1], the Oak Ridge Boys[1], and The Carter Family.[3]
