Stanley symmetric function
Appearance
In mathematics, the Stanley symmetric functions Fw(x1, x2,...) are a family of symmetric polynomials introduced by Richard Stanley (1984) to enumerate reduced decompositions of elements w of symmetric groups
The Stanley symmetric functions are linear combinations of Schur polynomials with non-negative integer coefficients.
