Mythical and miracle power of pyramids
The Pyramids are the first stone structures or stone monuments in human history. They are souvenirs gifted to the modern world by people of the Nile civilisation, who lived nearly 4000 years ago.
The world famous Pyramids are on the west bank of the Nile, a few kilometres off the city of Cairo and are known as the Giza Pyramids. The pyramids established the immortality of the Pharaohs. They are, one of the seven wonders of the world. These Pyramids belong to the old dynasty (BC 2700 - 2200).
The first ‘step’ Pyramids were built for king Djoser, in the mid 2600 B.C. Before that there were some very small Pyramids made of bricks, built for commoners in Egypt, according to Egyptologists. Though the Pyramids were destroyed due to natural causes, some ruins still remain.
Later the Egyptians built stone Pyramids, one for king Khufu, one for king Meckron and another for King Sinefiru.
The Great Pyramid is called Chiyo. It is 481 feet high (144m). It is considered a marvel in the history of construction engineering. These Pyramids are rock filled structures.
Each Pyramid was built in two stages, the first stage was the construction of the burial chamber, and the second stage was the construction of the monumental structure. It has four pieces of triangular stone walls. After constructing the burial chamber they have built the four monumental walls, covering the four sides of the burial chamber.
The Egyptians were the first inventors of the levering system. They developed the Levering System to enable them to lift nearly two to eight tons of stone blocks to a height of 140 feet. A hundred thousand men worked together to build these monuments by forced labour. Most of these labourers were Nile valley farmers. These farmers were compelled to work on these work sites, three to four months during the period of the Nile flooding. According to Egyptologists, it would have taken 20 years to complete the great Pyramid.
Two million stone blocks had been used in the construction. The stone blocks were quarried across the Nile and ferried to the worksites.
The builders may have used the Nile flooding period to ferry the stone blocks. Most probably the Pyramids were built on the Nile valley on the edge of the flooding line. The ancient Egyptians were the pioneer water-craft builders of the world. They were also the masters of the river (valley) sailing manoeuvre.
These monuments were built to protect mummified bodies of the Egyptian kings, from decay. The people believed that the Pyramids will serve as an eternal resting place for their ‘God kings’. The body was placed inside the Pyramid in the burial chamber at a perpendicular height to the pinnacle point of the pyramid, to gain universal power to preserve the king’s body from decay. Modern scientists say that the electro-magnetic rays produced inside the Pyramids has paved the way to preserve the mummies from decay.
This was the scientific opinion of a French Scientist, called Monshipe Boris, who carried out research on this subject in the past.
The coffin lies in the burial chamber of the Pyramid along with the king’s personal possessions. The possessions were, clothing, weapons, furniture, ornaments, gems and jewellery. The Egyptians believed that their ‘God king’ could enjoy these possessions in the after-life.
There are long narrow passage-ways leading to the burial chambers deep inside the Pyramids. In one of the Pyramids, the narrow passage-way is nearly 50-60m long and the height and width is 100cm x 75cm. One has to pass through the passage-way either bending, crouching or kneeling to reach the burial chamber.
Western tourists are interested in sleeping in the burial pit for a while, irrespective of the immense heat. They believe some mythical, spiritual power is gravitating inside the burial chamber. Scientists say that some electro-magnetic rays are active inside the Pyramids and the burial pit.
These rays have some healing power. Sometimes they say it can be helpful in activating inactive mental faculties of the human body.
The power of the Pyramids is still a miracle to the modern world.
