JavaScript versus ECMAScript

Is Sputnik a *JavaScript* conformance test? Isn't it more accurately described as an *ECMAScript* conformance test? Luiscubal (talk) 18:09, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Citations and archiving

Just a general note that any citations here for performance results must be published by reliable sources (you can't just run the tests yourself because that would be original research) and because the source data changes frequently the references must be archived, e.g. at www.webcitation.org. If they aren't archived then when the source changes all the results in the article will fail verification. Thanks - Pointillist (talk) 22:29, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can archive images at www.webcitation.org too. But in this case it might be a bit confusing as the platform is Windows XP, which automatically excludes IE9 and any OS X-or-iOS-specific features of Safari. - Pointillist (talk) 08:56, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sputnik JavaScript Conformance test will be phased out by August 31 - Wiki page about Sputnik test should be probably closed and/or redirected to another/new page about EcmaScript test262 http://test262.ecmascript.org/
