WIBA-FM (101.5 MHz) is a radio station in Madison, Wisconsin. The station is owned by Clear Channel Communications and broadcasts a classic rock music format. WIBA-FM began broadcasting Bob & Tom (weekday mornings) in the Spring of 1999, and was one of the first affiliates of the highly successful Alice Cooper show heard weeknights 7 pm–12 am. The station also serves as Madison's FM home of Green Bay Packers football and Wisconsin Badgers football and men's basketball, in a simulcast with its sister station, WIBA-AM.
HD Radio
WIBA-FM broadcasts an Alternative rock format on its HD Radio subchannel (101.5-HD2), billed as "Mad Radio"--the same format and branding that previously aired on two other Clear Channel Madison stations (at 92.1 FM and 96.3 FM).[2]
History
WIBA-FM went on the air on October 31, 1969. Originally, WIBA-FM simulcasted what was on WIBA-AM. Later, they moved to being a rock and roll formatted station, which they have remained for virtually the entire time they have been on the air.
