Super Slap Shot (スーパースラップショット)[3] is a traditional five-on-five ice hockey video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.[4]

The game itself was endorsed by 'Mr. Hockey' Gordie Howe.[4] No licenses from real-life professional league are used.[5] Thirty-two international teams are available to choose from in exhibition and tournament modes.[4] These teams include the United States, Sweden, Russia, and Canada. There are more than ten pages of hockey stats to look up in a typical game.[4] Realistic penalities are given and the fighting is given an up-close view.[4]
