Holy Scripture is a term used to describe the Bible. It is most frequently used by Christian funadmentalists, for whom the Bible is inerrant, and the direct revelation of God though the Holy Spirit. An equivalent term would be Holy Writ.

However, the term could have non-Christian applications as well, as the Qur'an would hold at least an equivalent position in the life of a devout Muslim as the Bible would in the life of a devout conservative Christian. Other religions have their own revealed scriptures, which they regard as holy. For a Hindu, the Vedas and the Bhagavod Gita would constitute documents regarded as Holy Scripture, as would the writings of the Buhdda would for a Buhddist.
