The TUDB Alap-Alap Formation is the official aerobatic display team of the Royal Brunei Air Force,


History

The Royal Brunei Air Force Alap-Alap Formation display team was formed on the 7th of February 2011.

The Alap-Alap Formation display team use the Pilatus PC-7MKII Turboprop Aircraft, an aircraft purchased from Switzerland in 1997.









Pilots

The display team currently consists of 3 Pilots. 1 Local Royal Brunei Air Force pilot and 2 RAF Pilots . All are qualified flying instructors.

  • Eagle One: Capt (LS) Richard Frick
  • Eagle Two: Capt (U) Pg Md Zulhusmi
  • Eagle Three: Richard Homer.

Displays

Alap-alap formation have displayed during the RBAF’s 50th Anniversary and continue frequent training for this years BRIDEX 2011 and are the first team in Brunei to carry out formation aerobatics at low level altitudes of 500ft.
