I don't know anything about this topic, but I have some questions that might yield information that is good for the article. I also don't know much about music in general, so please excuse me if I ask something stupid.

Are there programs that are capable of turning musical notation, combined with instrument information, into music?
Are any of the programming languages listed "easy" to pick up and play with, even if they don't offer lots of control over the result? If so, which ones?
Are any of these programming languages widely used to create music?

There seem to be some items listed which would be better classified as "computer music software tools" instead of actual programming languages. A language does not need to be textual (i.e. PWGL, Open Music, Pd and Max, which are graphical), but items like Melodyne (even if it is a fantastic program) perhaps are not appropriate for this page, and should be transferred elsewhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.89.203.130 (talk) 08:25, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
