Histogram equalization

Histogram Equalization in Image Processing is a method of contrast adjustment using the image's histogram.

Method

After a histogram is taken, the histogram should be created so that the cumulative histogram is a straight line. To achieve this, the following transform is taken. $f(D)={\frac {\int _{-\infty }^{D}H(u)du}{\int _{-\infty }^{\infty }H(v)dv}}$ Where : $f(D)=newintensity$ $D=intensityofpixel$ $H=histogramfunction$
