A One syllable article (Chinese: 同音文章; pinyin: Tóngyīn wénzhāng) is a concept in Chinese literature which describes an article consisting of only one syllabic sound, where homophonous words of different meanings yet one syllable exclusively form the entirety of the literary piece. It can only be written in Classical Chinese. Because there are many homophones (homophonous Chinese characters) in Chinese language.
