The article is in error. The Abstract Syntax Tree Metamodeling (ASTM) standard was formally adopted by the OMG Architecture Board in September 2009. Version 1.0 of the ASTM spec was published in 2011-01-05. See http://www.omg.org/spec/ASTM/1.0/PDF/11-01-05.pdf. I presented the ASTM to the OMG Architecture Board and lead the task force that developed it and I cochaired the finalization task force for the ASTM.
