About

Miracle Linux is a Linux distribution. It is developed by a Japanese software vendor Miracle Linux co., ltd: a subsidiary company (of Japan- 58.5-percent owned by U.S. company Oracle Corporation).

Current Status

Miracle Linux has started a joint development project in 2004 with Linux vendors Red Flag Software Co., Ltd. (of China) and later Haansoft, INC (of South Korea) has also joined this project in 2005.

Asianux is considered as a core component, or basis for a Linux distribution, available under GPL, which is to be released later by the above-mentioned companies as its own distribution with specific features. Asianux 2.0 now provides a basis not only for server operating system but also desktop uses or powerful workstation. This distribution applies a server operating system that is being developed is to be localized to Chinese, Japanese and Korean besides English, and developed throughout the companies' respective countries.

As a result, Asianux is now included in Miracle Linux 3.0 / 4.0 - Asianux Inside.
