Eh?

This so-called help page is gobbledigook. Can someone please improve the opening paragraphs in particular? --Dweller 22:14, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Standard editing

I have seen headers in fair use rationale that has quotes in the article they are being used - like "Article Name". What's the right? With quotes or not? BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 09:35, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is better to use quotes but I may be wrong here. --Siva1979Talk to me 10:40, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do you edit the layout of pictures vs. text?...

Specifically, how do you fix up the overlap between a picture and nearby text (not the picture caption, but regular article text)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.101.158.117 (talk) 23:53, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image description page, er, description

Regarding the statement: "for an image in a template it lists only the template, not the pages in which the template occurs", is this currently true? Seems to me that for templates such as Userboxes and Wikiproject notices, the image is cited for each page on which the template appears. Steamroller Assault (talk) 02:28, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fully agree. Just take a look at File:Edit-clear.svg to see that this is incorrect. Adrignola (talk) 16:50, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed. Finally! Gareth Aus (talk) 04:40, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where to place image maintenance templates?

I notice there's no guidance on where to place file maintenance templates on the image description page. Perhaps someone should add this? -- œ 08:19, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not convinced all of this edit is an improvement - some things were deleted which might be better kept, eg the summary of the image description page. Rd232 talk 09:28, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Way Too Complicated

This whole page is far too complicated. How do I find out is a picture is fair use or free? I have no idea after reading through these pages. This should be right out front and easy to find, but it isn't.
