Template:PBB RGM domain family, member B, also known as RGMB, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RGMB gene.[1]

Function

RGMB is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored member of the repulsive guidance molecule family (see also RGMA and RGMC) and contributes to the patterning of the developing nervous system.[2][3]. A 2010 publication by Severyn and Rotwein [4] demonstrated that the RGMb homologue RGMc/HJV, is transcriptionally regulated during muscle differentiation. Future work will need to determine how RGMb is regulated in neuronal tissue.
