RISC OS Open is a limited company which is managing the process of publishing the source code to RISC OS.[1] The source code publication is facilitated by the 'shared source initiative' between ROOL and Castle Technology (CTL). This arrangement was designed to encourage developers to improve the RISC OS source code, by making it available for free.[2]
