Original research

The claim was made by user:Niteowlneils that this "smells like original research" I looked up this so called term and realize that it is the very thing that keeps wikipedia so static. Anyhow, it is to some extent necessary. So to address your remark I will say that this is Robert Pirsig's term for something that is crucial to another article the Metaphysics of Quality and the sources are his two books. Defining the "subject object metaphysics" in its own entry is no different than creating an entry for a character in a Dickens novel e.g. Ebenezer Scrooge... so you can't call this "original research" I'm not introducing anything... real "original research" would be if I went out on the street and discovered something about the world and created an article about it. For example... lets say I proposed a theory about cats, and how all the cats on my street are pregnant... THAT is original research. What I did here was a small piece of a "book report." Haha and I am sorry for my poor abilities with spelling and grammar... that is why there are wonderful people like you to go around cleaning up for messy people like me... I mean this sincerely, thank you. Without more detail oriented peopel this whole project would be a mess haha --Wraybm1 01:53, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
