General merge template

On the talk page for "Hugh Walters (author)" I have proposed the creation of the merging of 19 articles on a book series into a single article for the series itself. Rather than tagging all 19 articles with the merge template, it seems a better idea to simply use a template on the main page that says there's a discussion about a general merger occurring. However there doesn't appear to be a template that is general enough to do this. Jason Quinn (talk) 17:02, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
