BioControl is an academic journal published by Springer Netherlands on all aspects of basic and applied research in biological control of invertebrate, vertebrate and weed pests, and plant diseases. Prior to volume 43, 1998, it was known as Entomophaga[1] and was published by Lavoisier. BioControl is published bi-monthly, having 6 issues per year.[4] From 1998 to 2006, Prof. Heikki Hokkannen was the first editor-in-chief of BioControl. The current editor-in-chief is Eric Wajnberg [1](INRA, France).[5] According to Journal Citation Reports, Thompson Reuters, BioControl now ranks number 8 of 72 Entomology journals worldwide.
